Personal, military, and family correspondence, records, and photographs. Included are Weddle's military and pension records and a few Civil War letters. Also included are his account book and justice of the peace records, items regarding his membership in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a tax receipt, three election tickets, and family letters. There are also photocopies of military and pension records, a copy of the book NOAH SELMON WEDDLE AND THE CIVIL WAR, and photographs used in the book.

Weddle was a native and resident of Medora, Jackson County, Ind. During the Civil War he served with the 17th, 137th, and 140th Indiana regiments. After the war he farmed and was a justice of the peace. In 1883 he moved to McPherson then Lindsborg, Kansas.
